Our goal is to elevate the standards of the industry and to promote the value that creative professionals add to commerce and the community at-large. We aim to create a friendly and inviting environment where industry professionals can come together to exchange ideas, collaborate, and inspire one another. Let’s work together to foster an atmosphere of growth and innovation that benefits both the industry and the community.

Events

Beyond the typical calendar and speaker engagements, Events are smaller-scale, frequent occasions for the creative community to interact with the DSVC and connect with one another. Events may include but are not limited to gatherings such as social events, workshops, screenings, design competitions, and other related activities that further the social and educational interests of the club, members, and the community.

The Dallas Show

Based in Dallas, the Dallas Show is the DSVC’s annual juried competition and end-of-season show for creative agencies and professionals in the Southwest. Judged by respected creative professionals from across the globe, top entries are selected for display at the show, and the best works are recognized with coveted lightbulb-shaped awards. In addition, select members of the community will be honored with achievement awards. The Dallas Show is one of the DSVC’s most visible events to the community and abroad, and creating event branding that is memorable and engaging to our community is critical to the event’s success.

National Student Show & Conference

National Student Show & Conference (NSSC) is the largest student creative conference and juried competition in the nation, granting over $20,0000 in scholarships and awards provided by the DSVC Foundation. Based in Dallas, the multi-day conference is a pivotal experience for students and educators, traditionally featuring nationally and/or regionally recognized speakers, workshops, portfolio review and studio tours. NSSC provides ample opportunities for emerging creatives to gain exposure and recognition, enhance their skill set, learn from professionals, make connections, and much more. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the National Student Show & Conference, and NSSC20 is intended to have an “alumni” focus and theme.

Golf & Fundraising

Established by the DSVC on October 18, 1998, as the D.C. Stipp Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit the D.C. Stipp Award Scholarship Fund. Changed to DSVC DREAM Drive in 2013 and began a partnership with the Dream Fund. As of 2024, we are now independently running the tournament ourselves. The winning team receives the John Hampton Cup, for a photo. Money raised now goes to Scholarships for High School students pursuing creative areas of study.
